We are absolutely delighted to be working with the Wild Card Taprooms and Yard Sale Pizza to bring you our award-winning pop-up cinema in another exciting venue. We kick off the New Year in our first horror/grotesque/thriller genre programme with this modern classic.

Combining palace intrigue with rapid-fire farce, this audacious comedy is a bitingly funny takedown of bureaucratic dysfunction performed to the hilt by a sparkling ensemble cast.

When tyrannical dictator Joseph Stalin dies in 1953, his parasitic cronies square off in a frantic power struggle to become the next Soviet leader. Among the contenders are the dweebish Georgy Malenkov, the wily Nikita Khrushchev and Lavrenti Beria -- the sadistic secret police chief. As they bumble, brawl and back-stab their way to the top, the question remains -- just who is running the government?
